Eighteen out of 48 members of PTI district executive council have resigned in protest against not awarding party ticket to Sonia Raza, daughter of late PML-N MPA Pir Ali Raza, for PP-89 by-elections scheduled to be held on January 6, 2016.Addressing a press conference at the press club here on Sunday, PTI former district president Dr Waheed Akbar, former district secretary Zahid Iqbal, Kamalia tehsil organiser Ghulam Mustafa Chattha, former youth wing president Habib Haris, Saleem, Rai Zubairullah, Rafiq Mumbar, Rana Mubashir, Abid Marth, Dr Iftikhar Anjum and others announced their resignation. They condemned the issuance of show-cause notice to Riaz Fatyana and said they were with him, who was loyal to the PTI. They said that the party district leadership gave ticket to Rana Shafiq under a conspiracy.
