Toba Tek Singh.(www.apnapirmahal.com)25-05-2015:. On the order of DPO Rana Shahzad Akbar, Gojra Sadar police on Saturday arrested constable Naveed and Wapda employee Izzat Baig for attacking Izzat Baig’s wife and her cousin at Chak 160/GB.Rashida was residing with her father Siddiq after developing differences with her husband Izzat Baig. On the day of the incident, she and her cousin Zulfiqar were on their way to Gojra for shopping on a motorcycle when accused Izzat Baig and his accomplices including police constable Naveed allegedly attacked and injured both bikers. In the meantime, both tried to hide in the house of their relative but the accused persons also tortured the family members. When an application received by the DPO against the accused cop and Izzat Baig, the DPO ordered registration of a case against the accused persons.

Toba Tek Singh.(www.apnapirmahal.com)25-05-2015:. Kamalia police Wednesday recovered hides of donkeys from a house in Madinabad locality.The police registered a case against Asghar and his accomplices on the complaint of Aslam, who told police that donkey hides were dumped in the house mysteriously and smell of hides was unbearable for the locals.Police were conducting raids to arrest the accused to know why they had dumped hides in the house.

Later, Elite Force and policemen from other police stations were called and they were chasing the suspects till the filing of the report.

Rescue 1122 staffers were trying to recover the body of the girl till the filing of this report.

He told that he had rivalry with the accused over a property dispute.

He requested the IG Punjab police to order the Gojra police to arrest her killers.

Toba Tek Singh.(www.apnapirmahal.com)25-05-2015:. Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad has announced regularising 50,000 educators of government schools in the province, who have recently completed their two-year contract.Inaugurating the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (Unicef) Early Childhood Education (ECE) programme in 300 schools in the first phase here on Thursday, he said that 1,146 government primary schools of the district had been selected for starting children classes under the programme. He said that an interactive learning environment would be created for children (3-5 years), which was aimed at reducing the high dropout rate from kindergarten class. He said that early childhood was the most critical period in a child’s education as it played an important role in his mental and physical development. Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad said that the classrooms would be made attractive through painting walls with some themes for joyful learning of the children while the teachers would be given special training under the Unicef Early Childhood Education (ECE) programme. He criticised Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan for changing his statements and said that he (Imran) levelled baseless charges of rigging regarding the 2013 general elections.Speaking on the occasion, United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund representative Rubina Nadeem said that the Unicef would spend Rs 93 million on the project in the district.  Punjab Directorate of Staff Development Director Ahsan Bhutta, in his address, said that it was actually the vision of the chief minister to control the dropout of the children as 56 per cent left the schools after class 3 in the province. District Coordination Officer Waqas Alam said that a sum of Rs 43 million would be provided by the district government for completing the project. District Monitoring Officer Asif Dogar, Education Executive District Officer Rao Attique, Finance Executive District Officer Rai Wajid Ali, former district nazim Ch Abdul Sattar and others were also present on the occasion.
