Commerce Colleges Lecturers Association office-bearers Shahbaz Hussain, Abdul Rehman and Hafiz Abdul Sattar vowed to continue the strike till the acceptance of their demands. They said that their demands include service structure and increase in salaries.

Toba Tek Singh.(www.apnapirmahal.com)27-03-2015:.Taxi drivers on Wednesday staged a demonstration against the TMA for removing their cabs from an existing taxi stand.The protesters chanted slogans against the TMA, blocked traffic and burnt tyres at Shahbaz Chowk. In the meantime, taxi driver Abid Hussain’s clothes caught fire when he was setting ablaze tyres. As a result, he received severe burns. He was rushed to the DHQ Hospital. Taxi Drivers Association president Noor Muhammad while talking to reporters said that the TMA was not allotting a piece of land for parking of their cabs while the TMA and the traffic police had removed their cabs where they were already parked. Later, City police SHO Sheikh Rizwan and the TMA officials held talks with the protesters and assured them that a piece of land would be given to them for the parking of their cabs. At this, the protesters dispersed.

As a result, Imran died on the spot while Irshad sustained injuries and shifted to a hospital.

Later, accused Mudassar and his six accomplices came at the house of Shahid and allegedly injured him and his brothers Arif and Shahbaz. The injured were shifted to the THQ Hospital Kamalia from where doctors referred Shahid to the Allied Hospital Faisalabad where Shahid succumbed to injuries. The police have arrested Mudassar and Afzal and are conducting raids to arrest the other accused persons.
